Warning: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
Welcome back, Monkeys. Let's do this. To start: An exhausted and malnourished Cole is searching for Cassie all over the year 2163, because that's the last known location where Titan, the giant time-machine-city could have gone.
211761
Cole has been placing beacons everywhere, looking for not only Cassie but even Ramse and Jennifer Goines. Jones is growing tired of his plan. She has important work to do: stopping The Witness and his plan to make time go away.
211763
Guys, remember Hannah? Jones's daughter. When Jones realizes that Cole is not going to give up this fight, she assigns her daughter Hannah to keep an eye on him. Essentially, Hannah's not to let him endanger himself or the mission as he keeps looking for Cassie.
211765
When Cole and Hannah arrive at the place where a beacon has given a strong temporal signal, she realizes just how possessed by this mission Cole seems. Too late though, Cole tricks her into getting sent back while he stays. The beacon was definitely on to something.
211768
Meanwhile, Cassie is (relatively) safe on Titan. Pregnant and wanting to go home, an angry woman named Magdalena (get used to her) informs Cassie that she's just a vessel, but won't necessarily be who the baby thinks of as a "mother." Don't worry, Cole thinks he may have found where she is and he's not far away.
211771
As Cole races to find Cassie, he encounters someone he's never seen before: a guy with excellent fighting skills who's wearing a suit made of a splinter machine! The stranger jumps away before the fight is finished. Who is it?
211774
Right now it doesn't matter. Titan is about to time jump again. This gives Casse and her sympathetic handmaiden Ariana just enough of a distraction to start their escape.
211777
Cole makes it to Titan just as Cassie's about to be re-captured! Can he save her before the splinter?
211780
No! Because the guy in the splinter-machine-suit has turned up and dragged him back to his old homestead: the Emerson Hotel. Who is this stranger? Any guesses?
211783
Yep. That's right. The stranger who just stopped Cole from saving Cassie - is Cole himself! What!? Well. Turns out Cole has come from the future to tell himself that the key to the future is Jennifer Goines.
211786
Except Jennifer Goines is in France in 1917. During the First World War. In order to brush up on her German, she does exactly what you think Jennifer Goines would do…
211789
She sings 99 Luftballoons music-video style. And then, as per usual, she has a vision about the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and realizes that it all started in 1917. She's in the right place to figure it out, she just needs to get in touch with her friends.
211792
Meanwhile, back on Titan, Cassie is still trying to escape, and chooses to end her life instead of having her son be this weird Messiah to these evil people. Except then, out of nowhere, Magdalena saves her by jumping back in time.
211795
See, how it works with those suits? Is that these people can jump back instantly to warn themselves about what's to come, thereby solving their problems before they even begin. And then they sacrifice themselves so there's no paradox. Can you imagine?
211798
As Cole jumps back to the lab with Jones to go and find Jennifer Goines, future-Cole's partner in crime comes out from hiding. Turns out Cassie was with future-Cole this whole time. You know what that means- Season 3 is going to be awesome.
211801
But that's all for later, for now, Cassie is still on Titan in the year 2163, about to give birth to The Witness.
