It’s 2011 and Jennifer Goines has been kidnapped. Sort of. It’s the security protocol for her new job – at the Night Room – a place with A TON of security systems in place.
In 2015, there she is, laughing like a (quite literal) loon. The Pallid Man has her and is asking her what Cassie and Cole want so desperately to know: the location of the Night Room.
Before Cole jumps back to 2015, Jones joins the gang for a drink. She explains how timelines work, and that she was once married, but just for a few days.
When the core melts down, Jones and Cole demand that it be up and running soon. The Night Room awaits in 2015, and time is of the essence.
Cassie and Cole finally reach Mr. Bee’s restaurant supply, which Cassie believes is really the Night Room.
The plan doesn’t go off without a hitch. Before they can even inspect too much, Cole and Cassie are found out by the security detail at the Night Room.
The Pallid Man shows up. We were waiting for him, no? He apologizes to Ivan for killing all of his friends. And then, when Ivan can’t open the vault, Pallid man kills him.
Max tells Ramse the stories she used to hear about a German doctor who turns people inside out. Ramse doesn’t believe that Jones is evil, but Max really makes him question it.
So, the Pallid Man starts torturing Cole by shoving BAMBOO under his fingernails. Nooo!!! And he also mentions that there's a "witness" who for some reason wants everyone in the world dead.
Cassie also learns that Cole was the one who killed Henri in Haiti, and she is NOT happy about it at all.
Ramse starts snooping around in Jones’ room and discovers that her work creating the time machine most definitely killed some people in the process.
When the Pallid Man gets the vault open in the night room, Jennifer Goines announces what's inside – the origin of the virus.
Jennifer Goines is nuts in the best way. Turns out she has a failsafe that alerts Markridge of the Army’s presence, and also burns them. Also, she’s not a huge fan of Cassie Railly.
Jones is trying to restore all of history and it’s true that she had to send some people back in time and that they died in the process. She promises Ramse it won’t happen to Cole.
The Pallid Man wants Jennifer to tell him the failsafe code for the vault. And he’s willing to do a lot to get her to talk. Including the revelation that Cole killed her father.
When Cole and Jennifer are locked in the Night Room, Cole sees his chance to burn the virus, and takes it.
The plan works! The fire burns everything at 1800 degrees.
As the Army of the 12 Monkeys takes Cassie hostage, Cole splinters back to the future, and Jennifer sees it happen.
But in the future, when Cole returns, it’s an alternate timeline, one where the VII are in charge of the facility.
