Our Top Looks: Season 9, Episode 14
One last look(s) at Season 9 of Face Off.
Well, here we are at the end of Season 9 ... and Face Off went all-out with going to the movies!
And, not surprisingly, making the movies, too. The three finalists -- Nora, Ben and Evan -- were charged with creating three different creatures for their own short films: The Prey, Resurrection and Quarantine Zone, respectively. Directed by Patrick Tatopoulos, the finished films were screened before the judges ... and Nora was crowned the winner of Face Off Season 9!
The Prey most definitely had three very complete and impressive characters, though there was much to love in the other two films as well. Here are our favorite creations from the Season 9 finale.
Season 9, Episode 14: "Movie Magic - Part 2"
Our Top Looks:
- The Prisoner and The Wanderer (Team Evan's Quarantine Zone)
Arguably the most modest of the three films in terms of scale and location, Quarantine Zone nonetheless had an epic feel due to the fact that its infected characters would look right at home in Mad Max: Fury Road. Oh, what a lovely makeup job!
- The Hunter (Team Nora's The Prey)
Neville is apparently not a big fan of "tree creatures," but even he fell in love with Team Nora's vicious forest predator. We loved it, too, almost as much as ...
- The Ally (Team Nora's The Prey)
... the giant son of a bitch that showed up at the film's climax, turning the tables on the not-so-mighty Hunter. Look at this brute! Amazing.
- The Creature (Team Ben's Resurrection)
Ben and his team brought the old-school Universal Monster Movie vibe to his sci-fi short, with the Creature (the Resurrected of this Resurrection) being the most accomplished of the intergalactic trio. It's Alive!
See you in January for Face Off Season 10.
