Regina Carpinelli

Regina Carpinelli is an American entrepreneur, social media specialist, CEO and Co-Founder of Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo, turbo-geek, and Master of Shenanigans. Raised in the wine country of Temecula, California, Regina spent her youth developing a love and passion for all things nerdy, especially Magic: The Gathering,  sci-fi and fantasy novels, cartoons,  John Waters, cult movies, and, of course, comic books (her favorites: Witchblade, Grimm Fairy Tales, Spawn, and Batman).

Disappointed with the pop culture convention selection in Southern California, Regina and her brother, Fabiano, decided in 2010 to create a convention that featured stellar content but was priced fairly. Armed with only $10,000, passion, a strong work ethic, and absolutely ZERO knowledge of creating a convention, Regina and her brother defeated all odds, and Comikaze Expo was born.

At its inaugural 2011 show, Comikaze shocked the convention scene with over 35,000 attendees over just two days - a staggering figure for a first year show. In 2012, Regina formed a partnership with pop culture icons (and her personal idols) Stan Lee and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (aka Cassandra Peterson), rebranding the expo as Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo.  Carpinelli also partnered with one of the world's largest trade show companies, Advanstar Communications, bringing big muscle to her young show. These strategic alliances put an unorthodox spin on the Pop Culture Convention world, and in only its second year, Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo became one of the largest and fastest growing pop culture conventions in the United States.

With an unwavering passion and unstoppable energy, Regina is a woman who is blazing a new path to success in a male-dominated industry. Comikaze is what she lives and breathes, and her sight is set on making Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo the ultimate fan convention in the world, one that is "for fans, by fans." With plans to continue growing Comikaze, along with taking the show to international markets, nothing will stand in her way on her quest for pop culture world domination.
