Sarcastic and generally light-hearted, Doreen Boyle is a veterinary pathologist, which means she specializes in the diagnosis of diseases through the examination of animal tissue and bodily fluids. As a member of Alan Farragut's rapid response team, she has experience battling outbreaks across the globe.

About Catherine Lemieux

Catherine Lemieux is a bilingual actress born and raised in Montreal. At age sixteen she landed a role in Jean-Claude Lauzon's masterful film Léolo, which is one of Time Magazine's "Top 100 films of all time". She studied theatre at Dawson College's Professional Theatre program and has performed in critical successes like David Lindsay Abaire's Tony-winning play, Good People, at the Centaur Theatre, for which she was nominated for a Montreal English Theatre Award (META) award in the Best Supporting Actress category. Catherine has played memorable roles in films like Oscar et la Dame Rose, White House Down, and the 3D film The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet, as well as in the TV series Série Noire for Radio Canada. Helix is her English-language television debut.
