Rediscover Harry and Max's love-hate relationship ahead of SYFY's 'Resident Alien' Season 2
Harry and Max = BFFs.
Raise your hand if you have that one friend who has the genetic mutation that only one in a million humans possesses that enables them to see your true alien body… no one? Really? So it’s just Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk) from the SYFY original series Resident Alien who has this problem?
Enter Max Hawthorne (Judah Prehn), the Mayor of Patience, Colorado’s young son who is the only person in the entire town who sees Harry as an alien, and not as a normal human doctor like everyone else. As you can imagine, this relationship has been pretty tense — which, naturally, has resulted in Harry attempting to murder Max at least three separate times.
But Max isn’t afraid of Harry. As Season 1 progresses, the two form a love-hate relationship. Max makes fun of Harry for thinking there are towers in Patience (as well as some of Harry’s other quirks), while Harry sneaks into his bedroom in the middle of the night to munch on some potato chips.
The first season ends with Harry blasting away from Earth en route to his home planet, but with one minor issue: Max made the intergalactic trip too, as he stowed himself away in the ship. Will the two of them keep chugging along throughout the galaxy? Or will they turn around and head back to Patience? Season 2 of Resident Alien premieres on SYFY on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 9/8c, so tune in to find out!
