Dustin McLean

Dustin McLean is an award-winning director, animator and musician with a unique creative vision as well as sharp technical skills. A Southern California native, he has had no formal training in production. Being self-taught, he is driven by his desire to be innovative and original and his videos have a homemade, DIY aesthetic while having high production value onscreen. Dustin mostly directs comedy and action videos (ranging from spoofs and mockumentaries to music videos) some of which have garnered major news and network television attention.  In 2008 Dustin's "Literal Video" parody of Ah-Ha's "Take On Me" started an internet "meme" which gained millions of views and spawned hundreds of imitators. Lately Dustin has been focusing on making exciting videos for his new original YouTube channel as well as taking on a variety of freelance directing and animating jobs.
