Well, this is interesting. Wynonna, under the spell of this Jolene character, has tied her mother to a ladder to keep her from intruding on their business. While being strangled, Michelle tells all: that demon Jolene has been stalking Waverly since she was a child, which is why she set fire to their barn, trying to exorcise it. Now the demon is back, and on the loose somewhere.

Oh, she's in the kitchen plying Waverly with poisoned cupcakes to keep her docile and talkaltive, while she sharpens the blade.
396658
While tending to her mother, Waverly remembers: in kindergarten, she wouldn't ever sit next to the mirror because she kept seeing teeth in it. Those were the teeth of the demon. Michelle's not crazy!
396659
Jolene finds the Revenant Security Guard staking out the Earp residence, cuts out his tongue, and impresses him into her service. No sweets for him!
396661
Before they leave, though, Jolene feeds Doc a piece of something good. It makes him so credulous, that he takes her at her word that it's best he stay behind and not go to the barn. We'll have what he's having!
396662
In the barn, the Revenant security officer minus a tongue comes barrelling in, babbling nonsense and pointing. The Earp family can't understand a damn thing he's saying, and perceive him only as a threat... not a messenger. So Wynonna pops him with Peacemaker.
396663
But while Michelle and Wynonna are prematurely celebrating the death of the demon, Waverly is following the sound of an ethereal voice, calling her away.
396664
It was Jolene, the demon by any other name, beckoning her into an occult spell circle. She's ready to do Waverly in, when Waverly belts her across the face with the barrel of a gun. When Wynonna and Michelle hear the screams, they think Waverly is out of her mind, and succor Jolene instead. This is a strange reversal.
396665
Doc uses his day off to go visit Bobo Del Rey down the well. He wants his help to retrieve Dolls from the afterlife; Bobo wants something in exchange: Waverly Earp. Easy there, pardner. Bobo does offer up some information freely: Bulshar needs his ring to complete his powers, and one of the Earps (or maybe Nicole) has it and didn't tell Doc.
396666
The party attends a party at the saloon, and it's there that Jolene tells all the women that Doc has a wife: the Contessa. Wynonna doesn't take too kindly to this information, neither does mama Michelle, and Jolene uses it to drive a wedge between the group. And it's working.
396667
She's also managed to drive a wedge between Waverly and Nicole, flirting with the latter until the former is livid. And starts a fight.
396668
Like, a serious fight.
396669
Wynonna and Michelle get locked up for their rabble-rousing, without the privilege of pies and cakes!
396670
And Nicole threatens to turn both Waverly and Michelle over to the higher authorities — harboring a fugitive is a felony. Also, maybe she's displacing some of her anger out on Waverly on this one. Also, could have something to do with the sweets she's eating. They kind of break up.
396671
Jolene attends to Nicole's room while she's sulking about the things she said to Waverly. Seeing she's in a distraught state of mind, she starts to... hit on her? OK, Jolene. The two have a physical tussle, and during it, Waverly's ring, the ring of Bulshar, pops out of her desk. Jolene snags it.
396672
Waverly returns to the family barn, and finds Jolene there — this woman is EVERYWHERE! Jolene really wants Waverly dead, but needs her to pull the trigger, or in this case bury the knife. So she attempts to make her feel so bad about her upbringing that she goes through with it. Here's the story: Waverly's father was a demon, and when Waverly was born, so was Jolene. Except one got blessed with good looks and humanity, while the other was born a demon. Tough break. Now Jolene wants her revenge.
396673
Waverly comes to her senses and drops the knife. She doesn't want to die. People love her! So she and Jolene do battle. But if Waverly kills Jolene, then she dies also. What a double bind!
396674
Just in the nick of time, Wynonna (free of the food spell) arrives and uses Peacemaker to shoot Jolene in the gut.
396675
Jolene runs outside for safety, but falls into Michelle's trap. She's paralyzed there until trees, under the command of Bulshar, pull her back, and consume her.
396676
And Doc takes up Bulshar's ring to keep Nicole safe, and to direct Bulshar's malevolence at him alone. If he's going to hell, he's taking the demon with him.
396677
Wynonna follows up with Bobo, tells him that Waverly isn't coming. He tells her that Waverly's father, this Julian guy, is an actual angel. Like, wings and lyre type stuff.
