Warning: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
In a more developed part of town, the Deputy Mayor is excavating esteemed poetess Shirley Dixon’s time capsule. Despite the lack of champagne, it’s a celebratory affair.
199368
The Revenants plunder Shirley’s keepsakes in search of Dixon’s diary. Have they a newfound itch for literature? Most likely not.
And as if violating historical city property wasn’t bad enough, the Revenants go about gutting the Deputy Mayor like a fish for blood sport.
199369
Waverly gives Wynonna and Agent Dolls a primer in the Revenant prison known as the Ghost River Triangle. Once the revenants are expelled, it’ll become the Ghost River Triangle Co-Ops.
199370
While sweeping up her documents, Waverly comes across a tattered old photo of Doc Holliday…who looks suspiciously like the well and historically dressed stranger that’s been hanging around the bar lately. Either he’s returned from the dead, or he’s got the best plastic surgeon in Purgatory.
199371
Doc is paid a visit by Bobo’s lady, bearing the message that Bobo has another job for the Doc. That’s not all she bares, however.
199372
While trawling through evidence, Wynonna and Doc re-examine some security footage of the same triad of Revenants from before de-handing a civilian. The streets just aren’t safe these days.
199373
At the cemetery where her father and sister are buried, Wynonna interrupts a Revenant’s grieving process, which is at the stage of “Dig up the body of the person who can lift the curse that was put on you.”
199374
Wynonna tries to send the Revenant back to the grave, even if it’s technically someone else’s. But he’s just too darn fast. Also, Wynonna recognizes this Revenant as one The Seven who were there the night her father died, and he’s looking as creepy as ever.
199375
The Revenants have taken over the surplus store and former Bank of Purgatory, with Shorty and Champ as their hostages. You could say there’s a surplus of tension in that shop, but a shortage of backup.
199376
Wynonna braves the surplus store, in exchange for the hostages. Maybe she’ll come away with a duck whistle or canteen for her troubles.
199377
Using the slip of paper she picked up at the cemetery, Wynonna helps the Revenants open the vault in the basement of the surplus store.
199378
Bobo makes Doc a proposition: get comfy with the Earps, and he’ll connect him with who he’s been looking for. Who’s the Doc been looking for? Why, the Stone Witch - who cursed him - of course.
199379
Wynonna successfully breaks into the safe, wherein lies the locket of Stanley Gatewood’s deceased wife. All this for some flea market antique? This trinket seems to be the last puzzle piece to their scheme.
199380
The Revenants have taken their three hostages to the site of the Stone Witch in preparation for a ritual that will hopefully give them their freedom. We're certain Wynonna didn’t sign up for that.
199381
Sooner or later it was bound to happen: the Revenants start turning on each other. And then there was one.
199382
Since he’s the one nearest death to begin with, Shorty offers himself up for possession by the Revenants so that Wynonna can be spared. Although, once the Revenant is inside his body, he won’t go down without a fight.
199383
Dolls arrives at the scene and stuns Shorty while Wynonna has a tough call to make that entails shooting her dear friend Shorty (who, remember is possessed) in order to kill the Revenant.
199385
And after a long day of fighting Revenants and having to kill her friend, Wynonna returns home to receive some uplifting, but equally surprising news: Doc Holliday has returned from the dead, and is ready to help the Earps in any way he can. Duuun!
