We decided to celebrate Season 2 of 12 Monkeys with some fancy photos - and to tell you more about what happened.
Season 2 finds out characters facing new challenges, traveling to different eras (hello, 40s, 50s and 70s) and uncovering the true mission of the Army of the 12 Monkeys. Oh, and we figure out who the Witness is.
Ah, Cole and Cassie. When we started Season 1, she was the pacifist, an idealist that believed in perserving human life. Cole was willing to kill to prevent a plague that decimated the world. Flash forward to the start of Season 2 and their positions have, essentially, switched (that's what 13 episodes will do to you!).
One thing that has not changed is Jennifer. She's still crazy as hell! But, when we start Season 2, she's also got a fueled jet filled with the virus. Spoiler alert: There's a method to Jennifer's madness, which will become clear.
Dr. Jones is still committed to the mission of changing the past to save the future, driven by the memory of her daughter, an early victim of the plague. Big changes are in store for her (although quitting smoking isn't among them).
Remember how, at the end of Season 1, Cassie was splintered to 2043? While there she makes a quasi-friendship (emphasis on the quasi) with Deacon, ruthless (or just misunderstood?) leader of the West 7 gang.
Don't think that, because they start out in 2043 and 2016 respectively, that Cole and Cassie aren't all up in each other's business this season. To stop the Army of the 12 Monkeys, they have to work as a team - despite two very different methods of operating.
