Aleister tells Elena that she's "the most powerful werewolf" and her blood is needed for something called "The Undoing." He gives her that mark on her neck to make sure she doesn't run too far should she ever manage to escape.
Elena's locked in a cell, where she manages to kick a small hole at the bottom of one of the walls. It allows easier communication with her next-door neighbor: Savannah.
Back at Stonehaven, Paige manages to channel Savannah. Ruth warns her not to trust Aleister.
Savannah tells Ruth that Aleister is conducting experiments on Elena, though the connection is soon interrupted by the arrival of a guard.
Aleister's resident mad scientist, Dr. Sondra Bauer, is fascinated by Elena, saying she will "open the gate to the Undoing." Her seemingly respectful manner makes for a stark contrast to the painful experiments she performs on her test subject.
Aleister continues his charming corruption of Savannah, telling her she's kept locked in her room to keep her safe from her new werewolf neighbor and encouraging her to use her left hand when wielding her abilities. Savannah's getting more powerful every day.
Meanwhile, Logan has infiltrated the compound and finds his beloved Rachel. He manages to free her ... but how far will they get?
Aleister isn't pleased with Sondra's slow progress with Elena. She must be in wolf form to procure a proper blood sample -- and Elena refuses to change.
Back at Stonehaven, Nick and Paige continue their flirty courtship. How long 'til these two get it on?
Ruth plans on using dark magic to get information from Aleister's goon, Melanie Lau ... despite the fact that she committed suicide at the end of last week's episode.
Elena still refuses to change into a wolf. Sondra says they'll unfortunately have to take extreme measures to get what they want.
Elena takes note of a bilingual sign as Sondra's goons wheel her out of the lab. French and English ... is that a clue to her location?
Back at Stonehaven, Paige's protests of Ruth's plans to utilize dark magic on Melanie Lau go unheeded. Ruth also reveals that Aleister is a witch himself ... which means someone broke something called 'The Commandment.'
Back in her cell, Elena tries to convince Savannah that Aleister is using her. Savannah responds by hailing the guard and claiming "The werewolf's bugging me."
The guards enter Elena's cell and torture her, which makes Savannah immediately regret her actions.
Meanwhile, Jeremy and Ruth continue with their flirting. Jeremy wants to know how there can be a male witch, though Ruth is vague and cagey in her response.
Elena wakes up to find herself in a new cell ...
... and Richard, the mutt she interrogated in Episode 1, in another. Richard is enraged that Elena gave him up to these "sadistic bastards" and all too willing to engage in Sondra's experiment to "observe combat": in theory, Elena will have to turn into a wolf to defend herself against Richard's attack.
After Richard turns into a wolf and they're both released from their cells, Elena keeps from having to turn herself by offering a gesture of submission.
Infuriated, Aleister orders the guards to subdue them both, though Richard-wolf manages to escape ... and Elena gets revenge on her shock-happy jailer.
On higher ground, Rachel and Logan are making a run for it, though the symbol on Rachel's neck starts to smoke ...
... which also slows down Elena, after Richard-wolf suffers the same bloody fate as Nate Parker did in Episode 1. Rachel, Elena and Logan are re-captured.
Back at Stonehaven, Ruth has managed to make contact with the spirit of Melanie Lau, who speaks of "Fresh daises" and "We harvest the purple seeds to purge our sins for The Undoing" and "I feel sick ... I need to see Dr. Bauer." Fearing for Ruth's own life as the experience gets more intense, Paige breaks the connection.
Aleister makes it simple for Elena: turn into a wolf or he'll kill Rachel.
Elena gives in, and a shocked Rachel learns a little something new about her old friend.
Paige comforts an exhausted and disturbed Ruth. Are we detecting some mother-daughter chemistry here?
Jeremy tells Clay and Nick that if the Alpha Council discovers they've aligned themselves with witches, they're as good as dead. This entire operation is strictly hush-hush and on the QT.
Sondra now has Elena's wolf blood, though she's still dissatisfied with the results of her experiments -- Elena's blood should be 'attacking' Savannah's witch blood, but it's not. After pausing to consider a new course of action, Sondra fills a syringe with Elena's blood ...
Savannah apologizes to Elena for sicking the guards on her. After bonding over having both lost their parents, Elena promises Savannah that she'll never let anything bad happen to her.
The episode ends with Aleister and Sondra having sex in a circle of candles, watched by goons in hooded robes. During orgasm, Sondra injects herself with Elena's blood and Aleister gets off as she convulses in pain. Whoa.
