We first meet Elena Michaels just as she's knocking boots with her boyfriend, Philip. Suddenly she notices the full moon and jets out of there, racing into an elevator (with this lady, who may or may not be trying to imitate Amy Adams from American Hustle). She's clearly in distress.

Meanwhile, a random lady at a bar hits on a very attractive chap, who rejects her by telling her she's a slut. Somewhere Stephanie Tanner is screaming "How rude!" Later, the woman is killed by a werewolf.

Said bar lady was killed on the property of Stonehaven, a big mansion that looks like stately Wayne Manor. Its owner, Jeremy, speaks with the police that found the body. He's alarmed to learn it was a wolf kill.

Cut to "The University of Upstate New York," where Professor Clay Danvers ends his lecture where every female student favors drooling over him vs. taking notes. Seriously, these women are like the chickens that used to freak out over that Frank Sinatra rooster in the Looney Tunes cartoons. Anyway, Jeremy tells Clay to come home.

Back in Toronto, Elena goes to a fancy reception with Philip, who won an advertising award. She deals with Philip's bitchy mom. During it, Jeremy calls Elena and asks her to come home.

Elena talks with Logan and fellow wolf Pete about the call she got from Jeremy. She hasn't been "home" in a year and is hestitant to return (hmm...why?). Logan convinces her they need her help tracking the killer wolf. Plus, it'll be good for her.

Later that night, Logan and Elena transform and kill a coyote (hey, wolf's gotta eat and we know Elena's always hungry). A mysterious figure videotapes them.

Elena decides to return home and tells Philip that a distant relative was in a car accident. Philip's curious, given Elena grew up in foster homes and always told him she had no family. Elena covers that she only recently discovered the relation.
