This episode was written by former Stargate writer/executive producer Robert C. Cooper. He also penned the infamous Wendy the Android episode of Season 1. Oh, Wendy ... sigh.
The writers went back and forth on a possible name for Hansmeed’s prophetic prisoners, finally deciding on 'Seer' in a nod to a Stargate: Atlantis episode of the same name (Season 4, Episode 8, to be exact).
The Seer guns are just one of several new weapons the team will recover over the course of Season 2, part of a concerted effort to expand their use of future tech. It livens up the party, that's for sure!
The part of Milo is played by Mpho Koaho, who was a series regular on Falling Skies and will be appearing in Dirk Gently. We like him!
The Seers' CPA (Cognitive Predictive Ability) is based on the notion of Chaos Theory and modern predictive models used to anticipate stock market moves. Ooo! Can Nyx make us rich?
The drug dealer ship with which the Marauder plans to rendezvous is based on one of the original unused designs for the Raza. We've got tons of ship sketches just waiting to blast off!
The episode's controversial ending was hotly debated up to the script's final draft. We were certainly surprised by it!
