For the first round, the artists were told to create ghostly inspired Pirates of the Caribbean makeup.

Rashad’s captain was hung by the magistrate. Ve thinks that Rashad’s model looks fantastic from the front and that it was really clever of him to cut a few different faces to get an authentic skull look. Glenn wishes that Rashad would have spent a bit more time creating ligature marks to make it really look like the rope sunk into the flesh around the neck.

Cig’s character was shipwrecked and died of starvation and dehydration. Rick gives Cig points for making his own character out of multiple appliance pieces. While Glenn said that Cig didn’t quite tell the story of a shipwrecked, dehydrated and starved pirate with this particular piece and with these particular color choices. And with that cig is the first to be eliminated.

Nicole’s character walked the plank and drowned. Glenn loves how Nicole added barnacles to give her character the look and feel that he’s really been underwater for quite a long time. Whereas Rick doesn’t feel that she truly addressed the challenge. He said that she nailed the skeleton / ghostly part but water does such awful things to the skin and that wasn’t apparent in her makeup.

Darla’s character was killed by cannon blast - ouch! Ve said that Darla needed to add more of the elements of the rotting face to the neck for continuity. Rick likes the cannon ball coming out of the model’s neck but because of the black powder it all blends in.

For round two, McKenzie instructed the artists to select an artifact and create a regal character who ruled over a lost world.

For Rashad’s Round 2 look, Rick doesn’t think that the wig works as well as the rest of the makeup. Glenn really loves the concept because there’s always this recurring imagery of people with purpleish or blue skin in middle eastern mythology - so he feels that Rashad really hit the mark. But Glenn’s praise wasn’t enough to keep Rashad in the game and he was eliminated.

Rick appreciates that Darla pulled together so many different pieces to construct the face. Ve really loves that Darla added the extra touch by dusting the model’s hair with a bit of color - it looks as though it’s glowing. Glenn was impressed by how much Darla did in just a short amount of time.

Glenn thinks that although Nicole started out kind of shaky she ended up on solid ground and did a really cool job of creating an odd and other worldly skin tone, for this Round 2 look. Ve loves the gold treatment as it really gives the character a more regal look.

The girls and their Star Wars inspired Bounty Hunters for the final round of the competition.

For Nicole’s final look, Rick feels that there was such an obvious difference in texture and that a little cut in the latex in the forehead could have made it all blend in a lot better. Glenn feels that it’s an absolutely gorgeous creation and that the choice of prosthetics is awesome. Ve like the look but wishes that Nicole would have used a few more colors.

Glenn feels that Darla’s final creation accurately fits within the world of the Star Wars BUT she really struggled to get the face to blend and the hood she put on the model saved her makeup. Rick feels that a few light wrinkles and highlights and texture would have helped tie the look together. But despite a bit of critiques, Darla still walked away a winner with 10,000 dollars worth of reasons to celebrate.
