D'avin and Johnny are at the RAC, awaiting word on Dav's application. Why does he want to be a Killjoy? "I'm not cut out to be a civilian, and I'm done being a soldier." Sounds good! Dav's even cleared to be a level 4, which is higher than his brother! Only thing is, he needs to pass a psych evaluation.

Dutch is busy torturing the guy Khlyen wants dead. All she wants to know is why, but the guy either doesn't know or has a strong constitution. She lets the guy go.

Things are getting rowdy at Pree's bar! It's Harvest Week. Sort of like Rumspringa or Spring Break or Fleet Week for migrant workers. But even sexier/fightier!

Case in point: Dav nearly kills a guy (uh, about that psych evaluation…), until Dutch shows up in a bad mood and shuts it down.

This is No'a, who interrupts Johnny's musings over his sibling rivalry with Dav to present a problem: her husband, Vincent, didn't return for Harvest Week. She's co-signed his work visa, and if he's not back when it expires, the penalty (ten years hard labor) goes to her. Sounds like a job!

Johnny convinces Dutch to take the undercover mission, just them, before D'avin joins the team.

This flirty woman from the bar agrees to perform Dav's psych eval, on the condition that Dav can get her aboard Lucy on their trip to Leith. She wants to buy some medicines at the bazaar.

To Leith! And the Martell Hokkery, where Vincent was working. Johnny is going undercover as a migrant worker, which does not seem like a picnic.

Dutch gets the glamorous end of this assignment, as a hokk importer looking to make a buy.

The conditions in the field are indeed rough, and Johnny sees what happens to a runner: the tracker implant in their ear explodes. Bad news for Johnny, with the tracker in his ear and all. But good news since they could find Vincent that way.

Dr. Sims has an interesting way of haggling at the Bazaar - injecting the peddler with a virus and withholding the antidote.

Dutch probes Martell for information, but he's a bit suspicious. He makes her test hokk. Lucky for Dutch, she knows good hokk.

Even more effective than passing herself off as a wine expert is when Dutch sexes Martell to her advantage. She explans her scars (atypical for an importer) by saying she likes to play rough. Rough enough to knock him out and scan his eyeball and search for Vincent's implant-chip location.

The Harvest fireworks give D'avin PTSD. Luckily Dr. Sims is there to calm him, but she notices. Oh, she notices.

Dr. Sims' psych eval doesn't go well for Dav. Stress Response Syndrome. He tells her he learned she was banished from Qresh, though, so now they both know some secrets.

Johnny kisses Shyla, as a cover, but also because she's pretty. He wants in on whatever the workers have going on in secret. Will he cut his own ear off to do so?

… Looks like it!

Dutch gets caught snooping by Martell, but she pretty easily fights her way out. And now the important question: "Where's my partner?"

Earless Johnny follows Shyla to the secret jack fields, a drug operation that Vincent is running, from the looks of it.

Vincent is not looking to return home, and he's willing to let his wife go to prison for him. That jerk. He's also about to have Johnny killed, but Johnny sets fire to the jack and escapes amid the fumes.

Martell has sent the authorities after Vincent's farm, and they're about to gas the place. Vincent offers himself up to our Killjoys rather than die in the fields. Shyla, on the other hand, stays behind. Good call?

Vincent is returned to No'a, and Johnny doesn't even bust him for being a creep. Good thing No'a figured it out anyway and punches him. And it turns out Vincent's warrant expired an hour outside of Westerley. While they were taking the scenic route. High-five, Dutch.

Hey! New ear for Johnny!

Dav apologizes to Sims. She's very concerned about what's up with him, though. The neurological drug he's been taking is no joke. She'd like to treat him. Dav: "I don't like most doctors. I like you."

Dutch to Johnny: "[Dav's] level 4 is nothing compared to the six years we've had each other's backs. You're irreplaceable to me." Of course, Johnny realizes Dav told her about the doctor he's searching for and didn't tell him. She also tells him the other stuff she's been hiding (the Khlyen stuff) is over. Is it?
