D'Branin and Rowan analyze the organic material they found in the deep space probe.
Lommie tells the team she wants to go into the computer system to trap Cynthia Eris and prevent her from attacking the Nightflyers.
Thale appears to be critically wounded and is bleeding heavily. He is rushed to the medical ward and they can't find the cause of the bleeding. But Matheson can… He's playing mind games.
Murphy confronts Thale in the medical ward. He criticizes Thale for not using his incredible powers for good. Matheson overhears, and gets an idea.
The team agrees to have Thale telepath with Lommie as she enters the system to find Cynthia. He will share her experience, and provide back-up.
Rowan asks Tessia for help analyzing the blood cells from the probe.
Lommie enters the mansion that Cynthia has constructed in the system for her consciousness. She finds a young Cynthia playing in the large house.
An older Cynthia is there, too. And she is angry about the intrusion.
Cynthia tricks Lommie and escapes the firewall.
Having snuck back into the Nightflyer system, Cynthia's first move is to cut the oxygen supply to D'Branin's quarters. Matheson senses what is happening, and she and Auggie break through the door to save him.
Lommie lures Cynthia back to her in the system and tricks her into a trap: Her abusive father in her constructed memory leaps out of a room and pulls her within. She is contained. It's a success.
D'Branin sends his wife a message, releasing her and giving her permission to erase all memories of him.
D'Branin visits Matheson's quarters and tells her he is glad she saved him -- glad that it was her. Their old romance is rekindled. Space make out!
And Rowan and Tessia are still looking at those cells. Have they been sent to communicate? Or maybe to watch for the Volcryn and report back? Rowan has ideas.
