Meegwun Fairbrother

Meegwun Fairbrother is Ojibwa from Grassy Narrows First Nation. He is a Traditional Singer and a Northern Traditional dancer and a graduate of the conservatory acting program at York University.

Theatre credits include: King Lear (all-Aboriginal cast), NAC; The Great Mountain (Dora Nomination), Canadian and American tour; Vimy, Blyth Festival; The Hobbit, Grand Theatre; Spirit Horse, Roseneath Theatre; One Pure Longing, Luminato; Beyond Eden, Theatre Calgary and Playhouse Theatre Company, (part of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics); The Bewitched, Theatre at York; Pimooteewin (The Journey), a Cree language opera, Ontario tour; 1848, Factory Theatre; Creon, Stone Circle/Summerworks Festival.

Film and television roles include: A lead in the six part series Mohawk Girls for APTN and OMNI; Split Decision, Heritage Moments, the male lead in the independent feature film Moonhair and the lead in the television pilot Time Traveler for APTN. He has also appeared in Triptych, part of a six-part series for Bravo.
