As the episode open, Gaia preps the apartment for her father's arrival. Here's the catch, he's a gay, vegetarian hippy who not only gifted Gaia this painting of a shapely aborigine, but also intends to take her home away from Axl and her life in the city.
Meanwhile, the goddesses discuss the moral consequences of their latest plan to claim the Frigg for themselves.
This plan involves drawing Axl to the hospital under the pretense of a check-up for his arrow wound inflicted in the season opener…
…and then planting cocaine from the hospital in Axl's car so that they can find and indoctrinate the Frigg to their cause at their leisure while Axl rots in prison.
Unaware of this conspiracy, Axl confronts the most likely source of the drugs – Anders.
But, as you know, the drugs aren't Anders' and so the cops bust into Axl's home as his time spent suspiciously alone in the hospital in the very room in which the cocaine had been stored makes him a prime suspect in this case.
Unintended side effect: Gaia's dad is busted for possession of marijuana.
And Michele, a doctor who had access to the hospital and thus the means to set this plan into motion, watches from the sidelines quite pleased with herself.
Unfortunately for Michele, Zeb had struck out on his own to sell the cocaine only to find himself robbed and abandoned. The upside: Axl remains safely innocent until proven guilty.
Having pieced together the plan to have Axl incarcerated-- Anders offers, "We're going to take those goddess bitches down!"
After receiving a panicked call from Zeb, Axl suits up (read: grabs his sword) and heads out retrieve the very cocaine that will incriminate him if found in his possession.
Never mind his faulty logic, this episode needed some action anyway!
If you were looking for a fight scene, you best keep on looking because these two are about as intimidating as soggy cardboard. Though it's still not hard to believe that they were able to get the upper hand on Zeb.
Luckily for this delusional duo, Ty and Anders were on hand to prevent them from returning a finger-print covered bag of cocaine back to the hospital in full view of the security cameras.
Instead, Ty identified her as the woman who shot the arrow into Axl's chest 4 episodes ago.
And Anders charmed a nurse into sharing her name, address, and other pertinent information.
So, Anders does a quick reconnaissance mission at Michele's home where she is incorrectly playing the Wii. Seriously! Would it have been so hard to get this girl a nunchuck?
His work done, Anders gives Michele a quick call the next day as she gets into her car. He explains that he knows she's Sjofn and instructs her to stop messing with Axl. Sjofn isn't too keen to take orders from Bragi…
…but it seems he has the upper hand this time.
Back in the B plot, Axl has a heartfelt conversation with Gaia about how important she has become to him and how he could never let her overbearing father take her away.
Emboldened and touched by Axl's words, Gaia breaks the news to her father that she will be staying in the city rather than returning to their island abode; before reminding him that he is not in a clothing-optional facility.
