The only way to find out is to use the baby booties with Claire, who's in an artifact-induced coma.

But in the home of her final intended victim, the agents catch up with her and she tries to use the artifact on herself. Pete stops her in the nick of time.
Although it's a strain on Claire, she carries Claudia into her memories far enough for her to see that Claire, herself, threw the music box into the fire.
Seeing Claire's sacrifice has Claudia feel her familial ties too strongly to turn her back now. She vows to bring her out of the coma, even though it will surely mean war with Artie - and perhaps even worse repercussions.
