Long ago before the art of wrestling was known to man, there was a great arena in the sky where the spirits of dedication, pagentry, and choreographed death matches would vie for the title of Champion.
But among these cantankerous beings the passion for the sport burned brightest in a red-hued hulk known among his Bretheren as Smackdown. Though none denied the intensity of Smackdown's inner fire, his exploits were few and hardly known in the arena in the sky.
So, he presented himself, prone on the ground, in front of the living altar of flesh and sweat and begged the four avatars of the sport to share with him the knowledge of Champions. To which they replied in their gravely, booming, unison voice... "You must test your strength against three foes. Masters each of Strength, Endurance, and Shwomanship. Only then shall you be called Champion."
The first legendary fighter was more than the sum of his sparkling parts. His core strength was beyond compare, but Smackdown got the best of him with nimble dodges
The Second elite champion, could take any beating, so Smackdown got the best of him by turning his own strength against himself.
The third great Warrior proved the old adage that all great things come in threes. At first Smackdown was outnumbered and overwhelmed...
But he saw through his adversary's gimmicks and using the strength and endurance he had learned from the previous two guardians made short work of his remaining rivals.
Smackdown could taste victory. He could feel the comfortable cinch of the championship belt around his waist. But before he could truly revel in the moment a dark shadow infiltrated the arena and latched itself onto Smackdown's face.
That is when Smackdown learned the halmark of a true Champion: His fellow athletes. So, with the help of the friends that he made and the rivals whose respect he had won, Smackdown drove back the darkness.
