Well, how do you like dese apples?

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are looking towards the future as the superstar duo will be bringing their science-fiction pilot, Incorporated, to Syfy.

Incorporated takes place in a world run by global umbrella companies with absolute power, centering on Ben Larson, an executive who must infiltrate a sinister corporate world to save the woman he loves.

Damon and Affleck will serve as executive producers under their Pearl Street Films banner with David and Alex Pastor (Selfless, The Last Days) set to write and direct the pilot. Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife) will serve as showrunner and co-executive producer.

"Incorporated provides us distinct insight into a world dictated by our decisions today," Damon and Affleck said in a joint statement. "Viewers will delve into the intricacies of our future, one that we are constantly warned of but as a society have not yet explored. We believe this is an important and timely story to tell and can think of no one better to guide us into this than David, Alex and Ted."

Syfy President Dave Howe is raring for this tale of espionage and intrigue as well.

"Incorporated is an electrifying example of what science fiction does best: holding a mirror to present realities and projecting forward to a recognizable future in which we face the impact and consequences of our actions.”

While Matt Damon and Ben Affleck might best be known as collaborators for their Oscar-winning writing & starring turn in Good Will Hunting (1997), individually they're certainly no stranger to the world of science fiction. Damon appeared in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar (2014), Neill Blomkamp's Elysium (2013) and The Adjustment Bureau (2011), and will play the lead role in Ridley Scott's The Martian, opening in November.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck played the title role in Daredevil (2003) and appeared in the adaptation of Philip K. Dick's short story, Payback (2003). And, of course, he'll be playing a certain DC Comics superhero in next year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (no, not Superman - the other guy).

Incorporated is the latest entry in Syfy's ever-growing pilot slate, joining the adaptation of The Magicians and development of David Goyer's Krypton.
