It's been a hot topic of bitter debate for over two decades: Backstreet Boys or NSYNC?

Now, let's settle it once and for all: How about both?

Select members of the dueling boy bands will soon be joining forces … not to create a third supergroup but to battle the zombie apocalypse in the Syfy original movie, Dead 7.

Dead 7 is a post-apocalyptic Western that follows a group of gunslingers as they look to rid a small town of a zombie plague. It's set to be written and directed by Nick Carter of BSB, who will also be starring alongside his bandmate A.J. McLean and NSYNC's Joey Fantone.

Carter is looking to possibly involve the next generation with his desire to cast Niall Horan of One Direction as his brother.

We agree with EW.com that Horan may be a little too busy with 1D's crazy touring schedule to make a stop in the post-apocalyptic West, but … hey, it could happen, right? Dare we say such a bond would be Unbreakable (ha!)?

Dead 7 will be produced by our pals at The Asylum, who brought you Sharknado and Z Nation.
