This week's episode was inspired by such rabble-rousing films as The Hunger Games and The Running Man as the artists were tasked with creating an animal-plant hybrid predator.

Welcome back to Our Top Looks, where we dare to lead a revolution (well, sometimes) against the esteemed judges of Face Off by disagreeing (well, sometimes) with their calls on what was the best work of the evening.

How to Watch

Catch up on Face Off on Peacock or the SYFY App.

(Sometimes we agree with them, too -- we like those guys, and they've got good taste n' all.)

Speaking of revolution, this week's episode was inspired by such rabble-rousing films as The Hunger Games and The Running Man as the artists were tasked with creating an animal-plant hybrid predator. Scary!

Season 8, Episode 3: "Let the Games Begin"

Top Looks (Judges):
1. Ram/Cactus (Ben & Darla)
2. Hyena/Shampoo Ginger (Regina & Emily)

Our Top Looks:

  1. Ram/Cactus (Ben & Darla)
Yeah, we were with the judges on this one. That thing could definitely kick Katniss' butt (for at least a few minutes, anyway). Ben's excellent work on the cowl made him the winner of the challenge.

  2. Piranha/Blue Thistle (Jamie & Rob)
The judges deemed this one only 'Safe.' Piranhas are scary enough, but blue piranha humanoids with a net and a damn trident are truly the stuff of nightmares. We'd like to see this thing take on Chevy Chase's land shark from Saturday Night Live -- hilarious and gruesome!

  3. Hyena/Shampoo Ginger (Regina & Emily)
We were with the judges on this one, too. Regina and Emily had a hard time working together but they managed to pull off a scary-sexy huntress that just looks like it can move faster and more fiercely than any other beast in the desert ... or any other environment, for that matter. We'd stand no chance, and we'd be honored!
