WARNING: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
D'Branin mourns Matheson, and ceremoniously shoots her wrapped body into space.
Lommie/Cynthia and Auggie huddle up below decks -- he's the pilot now and she wants him to take the ship home and away from the Volcryn.
Jhirl talks to Eris' broken body. She wants to know if he ever told her the truth -- where did he come from?
A projection of Cynthia Eris confronts Jhirl.
As Jhirl rushes to tell D'Branin what happened, Lommie/Cynthia appears to assure them that everything is just fine.
Lommie/Cynthia goes to the memory sphere and has a vision she does not like. She comes out of it and trashes the sphere, sure that the Volcryn are infecting the ship.
Rowan talks his way out of isolation, by telling D'Branin that he can help him communicate with the Volcryn because the telepath feedback loop is broken.
Thale needs to meet with D'Branin privately, and telepathically takes him to the exterior of the ship to talk. He tells him what Lommie/Cynthia is up to, and that if he wants to reach the Volcryn he needs to be on that pod. Not Lommie.
Jhirl uses Eris's eye to gain access to the secret room behind his bedroom.
Jhirl searches through the mystery room and finds another version of Eris, seemingly conscious but in some kind of weird stasis and surrounded by machines and blinking lights.
Lommie/Cynthia confronts Jhirl. She is angry, and a bit thrilled to share Captain Eris's true origin with Jhirl. That, in truth, they are both genetically altered and should be considered brother and sister. Ewwwww.
D'Branin finds the escape pod. He and Lommie/Cynthia fight over who will be on it, and D'Branin prevails.
Auggie realizes that Lommie/Cynthia was attempting to escape without him. He angrily has her locked up. The romance is over.
Thale attempts to communicate with Lommie's consciousness, trapped in the computer's system. The team wants her to shut down the ship in an attempt to save everyone on board. They reach her, and she agrees to shut down the Nightflyer.
The group on board the ship asks everyone on board to huddle together in the mess hall in an attempt to survive. And the power begins to shut down on the Nightflyer.
D'Branin is hurtling through space toward the Volcryn, attempting to make contact.
D'Branin appears in his home, greets his wife, and embraces his daughter.
And his escape pod is empty, except for the bracelet his daughter once gave him.
