Kyra Zagorsky

Kyra Zagorsky received her MFA in acting from the University of California, Irvine, and worked extensively in leading roles in regional theatre across the U.S. until she made the transition to TV and film in 2007. From early on, she’s been drawn to the sci-fi genre, which has brought her great success in the multiple sci-fi films and series she’s been cast in.

Kyra starred as the strong and intelligent Dr. Julia Walker on SyFy’s Helix. The series, created by Ron Moore, was an intense thriller that follows a team of scientists from the Center for Disease Control investigating a possible disease outbreak. She has guest starred on Syfy's Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate Universe, The CW's Supernatural, ABC's Motive, FOX's Fringe, TNT's Falling Skies and the award winning web series, Divine. She also wrote, produced and starred in the short film Chained, which screened at the 2013 International Action on Film Festival and received six award nominations including Best Female Lead Actress.  Kyra was also seen in the Soska Twins’ feature Vendetta opposite Dean Cain.
