Thanksgiving is upon us, so we're feeling pretty nostalgic, team. And since this is the Internet, here's a list of Syfy things we're thankful for this year - including you!

The Possessed Doll That Went To The Bathroom (Paranormal Witness)
No matter how many times we think or talk about this, it will never get old. For those unaware, in an episode of Paranormal Witness, this completely terrifying doll (whose appearance, oddly, didn't terrify anyone in the story but scared the bejeezus out of us at home) would move around on her own. Including, apparently, visits to the toilet.

Olivia's Voice (12 Monkeys)
Do y'all know what ASMR is? It stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and you can read all about it on wikipedia, but the gist is, its a phenomenon where certain, often calming, noises cause a very distinct "brain tingle." Basically it's like nature's Xanax. Olivia from 12 Monkeys, despite being all kinds of shady and arguably psychotic, had an ASMR voice right up there with the king himself, Bob Ross.

That We Had A Police Academy Reunion With Giant Lava Spiders
Lavantula was critically important for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that it reunited Steve Guttenberg, Michael Winslow, Leslie Easterbrook and Marion Ramsey together again. The Police Academy grads haven't shared the screen since Police Academy 3: Back in Training, which was such a criminal offense that Syfy had to rectify it. And we threw Nia Peeples in for good measure!
195118
That We Employ Real Housewives Alums
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Kim Richards in Sharknado 3. Housewives of New York's Jill Zarin in Night of the Wild (where she got her nose bitten off by a pomeranian). We're praying that NeNe Leakes stars does a guest arc on Killjoys.
195119
Killjoys
And speaking of Killjoys, back in June, this little series rocked our summer in wonderful ways because it was a show about space, but then it was also a show about ass-kicking, and then it was also a show about love and torture and family issues. Basically, it had something that everybody could relate to. But in case all of the above wasn't enough, every week, Dutch showed us what it really means to fight like a girl. Also, this super cool trio of intergalactic bounty hunters will be back on our screens in all-new episodes in 2016, and for that we are truly thankful.

Syfy Original Movies
We put the B in B movie, the the G in Grizzy Rage, the I in Ice Spiders and the S in Sharknado. This Fall, we dug into the crates and re-discovered our love for alliteration and far out story lines that date back to the early 90s!

Haven Fans
When you love, you love hard and guys, we love you right back! Thanks a mill to all the Haven fans out there who watch every week and tweet every few seconds. #HavenFaves

12 Monkey's Cassie and Cole saving the world this year
If not for the relentless work of a one time traveling former Scavenger from the year 2043 and a dedicated doctor from 2015, humanity might have been wiped out this year from a world ending plague. This is not to say it won't be wiped out in a future year, but they preserved 2015! Thanks, guys!
195143
Jackie Stallone
Every year is a year to be thankful that she exists. She has nothing to do with Syfy, but fun fact: Did you know that for years Jackie, who is psychic, ran a service where she'd read your butt cheeks instead of your palm?
195123
Amanda Rosewater's Side braid
Season 3 of Defiance was a side-braid parade and we couldn't be more thankful. Some fans have theorized that Amanda Rosewater's true power is tied to the terrific tangle of blond erupting from her shoulders. Is Amanda the Sampson of side-braid? We can't help but think she looks all but invincible when she's sporting a bodacious braid, and we're incredibly thankful that the follicular trends of 2047 have made this possible.

Datak Tarr removing his arm
It's a funny thing to be thankful when someone goes full-on Saw, but that's exactly how we feel about this scene from "My Name Is Datak Tarr and I Have Come to Kill You" (amazing episode title btw). After a season of being a veritable punching back, Datak attacks this scene with a vengeance, and is able to take out a whole squadron, including Rahm Tak, in one fell swoop. Rahm's reaction to this is also priceless, "That is some "gangster-a** sh**!" The general is massively impressed. And so were we.

The onslaught of female remixes headed our way including: Wynonna Earp and Vanessa Helsing
It's never been a better time to be a gun-totin', kick ass and takes names Syfy lady, and 2016 is officially the year of the female remix. We're mighty grateful ya hear! Wynonna Earp (Wyatt is her great grand pappy) and Van Helsing (that's short for Vanessa) are both launching in 2016, and we can't wait to show you what sort of feminine wiles these two characters have in store.
195126
The return of the space opera to Syfy
2015 was the year that Syfy officially went back to space. With Killjoys and Dark Matter launching this summer (relax, they're returning in 2016) and The Expanse premiering December 14 at 10pm (although wily fans have already found that you can watch the pilot episode here) Syfy has gone back to its BSG and Stargate roots to bring you all the best in space science fiction. There's a whole lot more where that came from, so gird your loins for 2016.
195141
Bitten Season 3
Actually, we're thankful for everything about Bitten, from Season 1's hot love triangle to Season 2's truly horrific tale of witches n' werewolves. However, the thing we're most thankful for is that Bitten will be back for a third season in 2016. Now there's a reason to howl at the moon!
195127
The different types of Zombies on Z Nation
Regular Human zombies, voodoo zombies, super soldier zombies, zombie tornados, zombie tsunamis, zombie bears, zombie plants, zombabies, zombaliens, z weed, zombie hybrids, zombie blastrs. We're thankful for all of the ways that Z Nation keeps the genre fresh and looking forward to all of the great new takes on zombies for the rest of Season 2 and Season 3 to come! Zombie Robots anyone? Please?

Celebrating 10 seasons of Face Off and 11 Seasons of Ghost Hunters
It's not every day that a show gets 10 or 11 seasons, but that's exactly what's about to happen in 2016 with both Face Off and Ghost Hunters. 10+ seasons is a huge testament to amazing fans, so this isn't as much a thankful message to the shows, but a message of thanks to you. Keep hunting, keep offing?? Anyway, you know what we mean.

Z Nation Season 3
Sheesh, are they ever gonna get poor Murphy to California? Actually, we kinda hope not, as that would probably mean Z Nation had come to an end. For now, the cross-country road trip from hell is still going strong, and we're happy to travel with Roberta, Doc, Addy, Vasquez and, yes, even Murphy for as long as possible. The journey continues in 2016!
195131
The Birth of the Zombie Messiah
For the record, this happened in Z Nation Season 2, Episode 5: "Zombaby!" (yes, the exclamation point is essential), and we'll never forget it (for better and worse). Murphy's baby mama Serena gives birth to a human-zombie daughter named Lucy, and Z's from far and wide come to give homage, following the single star that appears above the Amish barn in which the birth takes place. Yes, there's a camel. And maybe frankincense and myrrh, though Doc may have smoked it all.
195130
Dark Matter Season 2
The first season of Dark Matter ended with one doozy of a cliffhanger, as the mole aboard the Raza was revealed to be ... well, we're not going to mention it here in case you still haven't seen it (and why haven't you?), but suffice to say that Season 2 should be full of even more mystery, intrigue and space opera banter. Bring it on in 2016!
195134
T'evgin on Defiance
We're gonna miss Defiance. And we're especially going to miss Big Daddy Omec himself, T'evgin … and his patented T'evgin Glare.
195132
Z Nation Inspires Brat Pack Nostalgia
Anthony Michael Hall's excellent guest-starring turn on Z Nation had us partying like it was 1985 again. It also had us imagining almost every member of the Brat Pack showing up on Z Nation at some point, playing a wide variety of characters … check that out here.

Guns on Paranormal Witness
How do you deal with things that go bump in the night? A good majority of the people on Paranormal Witness produce a pistol. It seems that gun owners are major targets for ghosts, demons and other entities … probably because these otherworldly beings are amused by the false sense of security it brings to their victims.
