The Circuit City version of Home Alone that is Remote was released in 1993. The plot centers around a teenage whiz kid named Ben who is trapped in a model home with some at-large criminal squatters, as well as his gadgets and tech-based toys. Ben uses some of the toys to survive until help arrives, the MVP of which is the extremely creepy remote-controlled yodeling mountain climber.

Of all the gadgets Ben brought to stow away, the yodeling mountain climber is the most vital. Its stealth ability is uncanny due to the fact that it actually yodels while in use, but it still manages to get the job done. Not once, not twice, but three times this toy goes unnoticed by the criminals. The first time, Ben sends the yodeler down, it places a tack in one of the bad guy’s shoes.

The next, Ben uses it to grab one a steak that had been cooked by one of the bad guys, which was clutch given Ben only packed a bag of half-eaten Cheetos for his great escape.

The gold tooth, green overall wearing, enlarged version of the Price Is Right mountain climber ultimately helps save the day when it knocks a gun away preventing one of Ben’s friend’s from getting mercked. The yodeling mountain climber might look like kin to Annabelle, but he saves lives.
