As the New Horizons spacecraft approaches the Pluto system (much, much) faster than a speeding bullet, we’re learning more and more about the weird little world and its retinue of moons.

But how those moons got there is still something of a mystery. In this week’s BA video, I talk a little bit about this, and what we’re hoping to find come July when New Horizons makes its historic close approach to Pluto.

If ever there was a cause to say “Stay Tuned”, this is it. If more moons are there to be seen, astronomers may spot them in the coming weeks. And of course more detail will be revealed as Pluto and those moons grow in New Horizons’ cameras. This is a very exciting time, and things will only get better as July gets closer.
