SmackDown kicked off with Roman Reigns talking about how it's great to be the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion ... and even greater that he won the title on his daughter's birthday! Sheamus appeared to swear that he'd be winning the title back soon enough, but for now there's an investigation going on in regards to Reigns and he's not allowed in the building. Reigns said to come and make him leave, after which he destroyed the security guards dispatched by Sheamus.

Ryback took on WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match, which Del Rio won thanks to interference from Rusev, Sheamus and King Barrett. After the match, The League of Nations ganged up on Ryback, with Sheamus hitting him with a Brogue Kick and Rusev putting him in The Accolade.

Titus O'Neil defeated Tyler Breeze with the Clash of the Titus. Goldust took selfies with Summer Rae in the VIP section with Breeze's selfie stick, providing O'Neil with a distraction for the win.

The Lucha Dragons defeated The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) in a non-title match.

Total Divas Drama was provided by Becky Lynch defeating Brie Bella by submission.

The night's main event had Dolph Ziggler defeating Kevin Owens via disqualification after Owens threw him over the announce table. Dean Ambrose attempted to help Ziggler but Ziggler surprised him with a Superkick. SmackDown ended with Owens laughing as both Ambrose and Ziggler were down for the count.
