A very special holiday episode of SmackDown kicked off with the stage decorated for Christmas and a WWE Tag Team Title Match between The New Day and The Lucha Dragons. The New Day managed to keep their title.

Next, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman) defeated The Dudley Boyz, Ryback & Kane.

Rusev & Alberto Del Rio defeated The Usos, after which The League of Nations celebrated in the ring.

The Battle For Christmas had Neville & Titus O'Neil taking on The Ascension. Neville saved Christmas with a Red Arrow against Viktor.

Total Divas Drama had Charlotte forcing Brie Bella to tap out to a Figure Eight.

The night's main event had Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens competing for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Ambrose emerged victorious and kept his title.
