SmackDown kicked off with Seth Rollins singing the praises of his Authority cohorts and bragging about his recent defeats of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. He then announced the evenings big matches — Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt and Reigns once again taking on Rollins — before the Authority was chased out of the ring (via Kendo stick) by The Lunatic Fringe.

Ambrose was soon tamed by Wyatt, who delivered a Sister Abigail for the victory. R-Truth then defeated Adam Rose via The Lie Detector, and Ryback lifted the 400-plus-pound Mark Henry on his shoulders for a crushing Shell Shocked.

Brie Bella provided Total Divas Drama with a victory over Naomi and The Prime Time Players defeated The Ascension after Titus O'Neil delivered The Clash of Titus on Konnor.

The evening ended with Roman Reigns taking on Seth Rollins, with The Big Dog's would-be final Superman Punch being interrupted by J&J Security. Rollins, Jaime Noble and Joey Mercury then inflicted a 3-on-1 attack against Reigns before Dean Ambrose, down but not out after his match against Bray Wyatt, helped clear the ring with his Kendo stick. Reigns won the match via disqualification.
