Episode Recap: June 25, 2015
Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler, The Prime Time Players & The Lucha Dragons defeated The New Day & Bo Dallas, and Seth Rollins felled his longtime adversary, Dean Ambrose.
SmackDown kicked off with Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury and Kane dedicating the show to Jamie Noble, who recently suffered broken ribs at the hands of Brock Lesnar. They then called out Intercontinental Champion Ryback for taking out Big Show at Monday's Raw, after which Kane put himself in a match against The Human Wrecking Ball … and Rollins announced that he would battle Dean Ambrose to finish off his longtime adversary once and for all.
Later, Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler, though The Showoff had the lovely Lana to console him afterwards. Total Divas Drama was provided by Alicia Fox, newly aligned with The Bella Twins, as she defeated Naomi.
Ryback's match against Kane was sabotaged by Big Show, who attacked The Big Guy during his entrance. Ryback put up a good fight against WWE's Director of Operations and ended up winning the match by disqualification after Big Show got involved again. The victory was short-lived, though, as Ryback then suffered two giant post-match Chokeslams by The World's Largest Athlete.
The New Day & Bo Dallas maintained control for most of their match against The Prime Time Players & The Lucha Dragons, though they were ultimately felled by Kallisto's sensational splash on Xavier Woods for the victory.
Finally, thanks to disruptions provided by Kane and Joey Mercury, Dean Ambrose was defeated by Seth Rollins. A united Authority is indeed a force to be reckoned with!
