SmackDown kicked off with Seth Rollins addressing the WWE Universe with all sorts of boasts, claiming that he dismantled The Shield and beat Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania all on his own. As for Dean Ambrose, who stole his World Heavyweight Championship title earlier this week, Rollins claimed he'd destroy The Lunatic Fringe in the Ladder Match at WWE Money in the Bank on June 14.

Rollins was interrupted by Ambrose himself, broadcasting from an unknown location, disputing The Future of the WWE's claims that he achieved his success on his own and declaring himself the rightful WWE World Heavyweight Champion. On to the Ladder Match at Money in the Bank!

Major Tag Team action was provided by The Prime Time Players, who defeated both The Ascension and The Lucha Dragons to become the No. 1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Titles. The Players will now take on The New Day at Money in the Bank on June 14.

Ryback earned his first victory as Intercontinental Champion by defeating Stardust via a Meathook Clothesline–Shell Shocked combination, and Neville utilized his high-flying abilities to overcome Kofi Kingston of The New Day. NXT Champion Kevin Owens bragged about defeating John Cena in the Champion vs. Champion Match at WWE Elimination Chamber and presented an open challenge for the NXT Title; Zack Ryder answered the call though was ultimately bested by Owens' Pop-up Powerbomb.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was that no one got their butt kicked during the latest episode of Miz TV. The Miz's interview with Lana was surprisingly low-key, though things got a bit tense when Rusev emerged on crutches, begging The Ravishing Russian to take him back. Dolph Ziggler emerged to escort Lana from the ring, leaving Rusev to fume and reflect.

The evening's main event had Roman Reigns taking on Sheamus, though just when it looked like The Big Dog was about to take out The Celtic Warrior, Kane emerged from out of nowhere and delivered a devastating Chokeslam. After making short work of Sheamus as well, Kane stunned the WWE Universe by announcing that he would be the final participant in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on June 14.
