Seth Rollins was the last man standing as the WWE Payback Fatal 4-Way Match contract signing turned into chaos.

SmackDown kicked off with the King of the Ring himself, Bad News Barrett, belittling WWE Hall of Famer Jerry 'The King' Lawler, demanding he exclaim "All Hail King Barrett!" When Lawler refused, Barrett refused him his interview and inflicted his kingly whim against Dolph Ziggler. Sheamus' surprise appearance ended the contest early, and after Neville showed up to even the odds, a tag team match ensured between the four Superstars … from which Ziggler and The Man That Gravity Forgot emerged victorious.

The evening's Six-Man Tag Team Match resulted in The New Day defeating Cesaro & Tyson Kidd and their impromptu ally, Ryback. Meanwhile, Luke Harper defeated Fandango, after which Erick Rowan showed up to deliver a post-match attack against the dancing Superstar. Total Divas Drama was provided by Naomi defeating Emma, and there was plenty of masked Superstar action as the Lucha Dragons defeated Los Matadores.

The evening's main event was the WWE Payback Fatal 4-Way Match contract signing, during which WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins managed to turn Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton against each other. Chaos ensued as an accidental collision between Ambrose and Reigns led to Orton delivering an RKO to The Lunatic Fringe, followed by Reigns delivering a Superman Punch to Orton … after which Rollins returned to the ring and took down Reigns, making him the last man standing.
