Episode Recap: Blood Red and Going Down

Wynonna must deal with two evil witches, and a demon with an insatiable appetite. No problem.

And we're back! A quick recap before the real recap: when we last left our heroes, Wynonna decided to give up her child, Doc was not so happy with that decision, Bulshar is after the Earp heirs, and the Revenants are back. Business as usual — except the vamps, those are new. Oh yeah, Sheriff Nedley, under the glamor spell of a steamy vampire, permits a whole van-load of them into Purgatory. Nice one, Nedley. At the same time, unsuspecting Purgatory bar patrons are getting slayed left and right, and being rearranged in special configurations as an offering to…Bulshar! Looks like the Cult of Bulshar is really into some nefarious feng shui. While investigating the mass murder, Nicole gets shook — that's to be expected, considering the number of bodies on the floor, but she gets extra shook. While taking a breather in the bathroom, Nicole falls under the spell of vampire Petra, who also bedazzles Waverly.

How to Watch

Catch up on Wynonna Earp on the SYFY app.

In fact, the vamps get a hold of pretty much everyone. Jeremy gets the glamor treatment; Dolls nearly falls for it as well, but because of his reptilian DNA is able to fend it off; Doc is abducted, tied up, and thrown into the vampire van, and nearly shanghaied into vampire service, before escaping by dint of his wits; and Wynonna is thrown into a coffin by her own kith and kin, ready to be served up to Bulshar as an
offering. But Dolls finds her in the basement of the house, and together they go about fashioning stakes which they use to vanquish almost all of the vampires.

Once Petra is taken down, the spell is broken and Wynonna's team throws down. They save the head honcho for last, and Wynonna sends him to Bulshar with a message: she's coming for him. The next day, Nicole returns to the scene of the massacre and has a startling realization: she thinks she was a survivor of the Cult of Bulshar. That's BIG! And while Wynonna takes Waverly on a drive to tell her about their mother, the car skids off the road, flips over, and rolls down a slope. Waverly is shortly thereafter dragged from the car by an unseen figure, who, we're just going to guess, is not a paramedic.
