Lauren Lee Smith

Lauren Lee Smith was first discovered in her native Vancouver when she was cast as a series regular on the hit Showtime series, The L Word. Smith seamlessly transitioned to films by co-starring in Terry Zwigoff's film, Art School Confidential for Sony Pictures Classics opposite Max Minghella, and from there co-starred as Casey Affleck's partner in the Paramount Pictures film, The Last Kiss directed by Tony Goldwyn.

Smith received critical praise and attention from her performance in the lead role of Clement Virgo's independent film, Lie With Me. Smith went on to star in three back-to-back studio films: the MGM feature Pathology, the Warner Bros/Bryan Singer produced feature Trick R' Treat opposite Anna Paquin, and Helen opposite Ashley Judd, which premiered at Sundance in 2010. Additionally, Smith can be seen in the independent Terry Miles-directed feature, A Night For Dying Tigers alongside Jennifer Beals. She also appeared in the lead role of an independent feature called Cinemanoval, for which she again teamed up with director Terry Miles.

A highlight of Smith's television career was working alongside Laurence Fishburne in 2009 on the hugely successful CBS series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Smith can also be seen in lead role on the Canadian crime series The Listener. For that, she earned her a nomination for Best Performance by a Lead Actress at the 2011 Gemini Awards.
