The sixth season of The CW’s Flash might’ve gotten cut a bit short due to the pandemic shutdown, but the 19-episode run still packed plenty of super-fast punches — and we have an exclusive look at one scene that wasn't quick enough to make the cut.
Season 6 is slated to hit Blu-ray and DVD on August 25, featuring plenty of special features, deleted scenes, commentaries, and even a noir cut of a fan favorite episode. The series remains one of the network’s most successful shows, even all these years later. Season 6 featured a twisty Mirrorverse storyline, and a terrifying new baddie thanks to Sendhil Ramamurthy’s Bloodwork. It also ended on a heck of a cliffhanger due to the shutdown.
Our exclusive deleted scene comes from the episode “Dead Man Running” and follows Ramsey/Bloodwork (Ramamurthy) as he arrives at Star Labs and receives a tour from Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin), and inquires about the potential for dark matter. As fans are well aware, Ramsey has some… let’s just say nefarious plans for that material.
“After six strong seasons, The Flash continues to score in ratings and ranks as the top series for The CW,” Rosemary Markson, WBHE Senior Vice President, Television Marketing, said in a statement to SYFY WIRE. “This must-own set is filled with in-depth bonus content that fans and DC fanboys will be eager to check out to add to their Blu-ray or DVD collections.”
Check out the exclusive deleted scene below:
Special features include the noir version of “Kiss Kiss Breach Breach,” plus a special commentary by showrunner/executive producer Eric Wallace. Other highlights include “The Best of DC TV’s Comic-Con Panels San Diego 2019,” other deleted scenes and a gag reel. For fans who spring for the Blu-ray set, a limited-edition bonus disc featuring all five episodes of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event will be included (plus a boatload of featurettes digging into the crossover).
The set is priced at $39.99 for DVDs, and $44.98 for Blu-ray. It’s also available for purchase on digital.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Hartley Sawyer, Danielle Nicolet, Efrat Dor, Jesse L. Martin and Tom Cavanagh.
