Legends of Tomorrow: Gary teaches the art of inefficiency in exclusive Season 6 deleted scene

It's time to slow down (like, all the way down) and take a look around with an exclusive deleted scene from the Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 home release. Fittingly enough, it's taken from the sixth episode: "Bishop's Gambit."

Recalling Han Solo's "We're all fine here now" moment from Star Wars: A New Hope, this snippet finds an Ava clone (Jes Macallan) learning the subtle art of inefficiency from Gary Green (Adam Tsekhman). No one knows how to buy time like Agent Green! Speaking with Collider in May of this year, Tsekhman compared his Time Bureau character to man's best friend.

"Because it's a superhero show, the stakes are always like, 'the world is ending, we're all going to die.' So I think Gary is very much aware of those stakes, and happy to hide from them," he said. "But in terms of his relationship with everybody else, everyone disregards him, [and he thinks] 'That's okay, they'll learn to love me. I love them. They'll love me.' Kind of like a dog."

Not only is Gary an expert at putting on a facade of incompetence, he's also not of this world (something fans didn't know for certain until this past season).

"They kind of teased it at the end of last season, that they were thinking about going in that direction, and I thought it was hilarious. I was excited about it. Obviously, I had no idea what kind of alien, what kind of alien planet, or what his purpose is — any of those things! But yeah, I thought it was really fun," Tsekhman told Comic Book Resources. "And then I started thinking about the past seasons and the things that Gary had done and how they sort of justify him not being from this planet, and then certain moments started to make sense. 'Oh, yeah! Right! He didn't understand that. That made no sense. Now it makes sense!'

The Season 6 home release includes all 15 episodes of Season 6 and the following bonus features:

  • Gag Reel (Exclusive to Blu-ray and DVD)
  • Deleted Scenes (Exclusive to Blu-ray and DVD)
  • Never Alone: Heroes and Allies
  • VFX Creature Feature
  • Animation Split Screen
  • Actors Split Screen

Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 is now available on DVD ($24.98), Blu-Ray ($29.98), and Digital ($24.99). The show's seventh season is airing now on The CW.
