Missing Link: Zach Galifianakis delivers Sasquatch laughs in second Laika trailer

By Josh Weiss

The cryptozoological engima known as "Bigfoot" goes by many alternate names, but you probably didn't know the one he prefers the most out of all of them is "Susan."

At least that's the mindset of the Sasquatch we meet in the second trailer for Laika's Missing Link, a stop-motion buddy comedy about monster hunting, which stars Zach Galifianakis as a lovable and hairy beast native to the Pacific Northwest. He's discovered by Hugh Jackman's Sir Lionel Frost, who promises to help "Mr. Link" (their cover name while in front of other humans) find his Yeti cousins in the Himalayas.

Packed with even more laughs than the first teaser released back in November, the latest trailer proves that Galifianakis was the perfect man for the role of Bigfoot. The actor brings a charming oafishness and naïveté that helped make him a massive star with the Hangover films in the first place.

Written and directed by Chris Butler (ParaNorman), the film co-stars Zoe Saldana, Emma Thompson, Timothy Olyphant, Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas, Ching Valdes-Aran, and Amrita Acharia.

Missing Link stomps into theaters Friday, April 12.
