There's been plenty of Disney news floating around today, from Kevin Feige taking the reins of the X-Men franchise to its surprisingly refreshing approach to Deadpool. But the Mouse House still has another big announcement, this time on the Star Wars front.

During a quarterly earnings call, per The Hollywood ReporterDisney CEO Bob Iger praised the continuing partnership with videogame developer EA Games for an all-new Star Wars video game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

The game will be an original story that follows a young Jedi Padawan after the fallout of Revenge of the Sith. It'll be ready for purchase in time for the holidays, so start making your Christmas lists now.

The announcement came, interestingly enough, after Iger admitted that Disney has never been good at actually making Disney video games. "We haven’t been particularly good at the self-publishing side," said the CEO.

Iger did praise the companies that have been licensed Disney properties, specifically citing EA. The company is currently contracted to make Star Wars games through 2023. Fallen Order marks the third game they've made during their partnership, the other two being the first two Battlefront installments.

While the first Battlefront went over fine, it'll be interesting to see if Disney and EA learned their lesson from the substantial fallout after the release of Battlefront II. After fans complained about the tediously impossible process, which could only be circumvented by spending more money on loot crates, EA eventually revamped the game. Worth noting that the use of loot crates is currently under investigation by the FTC.

Additionally, EA Games also announced a new Titanfall title in conjunction with Respawn Entertainment, per Variety. The premium game is being designed to help push the battle royale-centric franchise forward into new and different narratives. It'll also be available in late 2019.
