Apocalypse Part 2: 'Resident Alien' Season 2 trailer reveals Harry's new mission

Humans of Earth, it’s time to prepare for the return of SYFY’s Resident Alien. In the above trailer for Season 2 of the hit Alan Tudyk-starring series about an alien bent on destroying the world only to find himself stranded in a small town in Colorado, you’ll find that Harry Vanderspeigle's work is far from finished.

Rather than take his frenemy Max (Judah Prehn) back to his home planet, Harry returns to Patience and his best friend Asta (Sara Tomko) only for us to learn his people are still determined to wipe out everyone on the planet — including Asta. And Harry can't stand for that. Hijinks ensue in typical Resident Alien fashion, and government agents are still on the hunt for Harry and his alien tech. What could possibly go wrong with all that?

Season 2 will see the return of all our Season 1 favorites — including Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds), Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen), D'Arcy (Alice Wetterlund), and so many more — as well as some new faces, such as Alex Borstein. Returning guest stars include Linda Hamilton (General Eleanor Wright McAllister) and Nathan Fillion (the octopus). 

Resident Alien Season 2 premieres on SYFY on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 9/8c, followed by the world premiere of SYFY's Astrid & Lilly Save the World at 10/9c.
