A fond farewell to the SYFY WIRE app

Goodbyes are never easy. We had to say so long to Toys "R" Us. Myspace (that's gone, right?). A world without streaming services.

And now, so must we also bid bon voyage to the SYFY WIRE app on July 15, 2019.

Why? Basically, when we first launched the SYFY WIRE app 10 years ago (!!!) it was to provide a great mobile experience for readers when very few websites (including ours) worked well on mobile devices. Over the years, we've worked hard to make sure SYFYWIRE.com looks and works great on any device, providing a superior experience to our app. So what was once the apprentice is now ... well, you get it. We are looking to put all our resources into making SYFYWIRE.com — whether you visit on your desktop or mobile device (where most of our readers visit us) — the best it can be.

As always, thank you for being a reader — and fan — of SYFY WIRE. Although we will be without a mobile app as of July 15, we'll still be online at SYFYWIRE.com ... to eternity, and beyond!
