Since 1977, Star Wars action figures have been a source of joy for both kids and adults. Whether it's proudly displaying your collection in pristine condition, or re-creating your favorite battles, these toys bring excitement to every kind of fan.

One thing all fans feel together is the excitement of new figure announcements, and realizing what they'll be able to add to their collection. Teams from Hasbro and Lucasfilm on hand at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 to give everyone the latest.

The panel began with a brief recap of Hasbro's most recent launches, including the Sith Trooper from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of SkywalkerThe movie doesn't arrive until December, and we know nothing about their abilities, but they've already become a fan favorite.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures took center stage next with their newest wave. These stylized figures are based on the original cartoon shorts and will include a unique "action" for each. Force Slash Darth Vader, Wookie Slam Chewbacca, and Sling and Blast Attack Han Solo were among the first announced. The funniest figure in the wave is C-3PO. His unique ability is having all his limbs removable, so you can pretend to give him panic attacks whenever you want.

The next phase of the ultra-popular Black Series figures will focus on The Empire Strikes Back, in conjunction with the movie's 40th anniversary in 2020. After the results of the fan vote (which Wedge Antillies lost by one-tenth of a percent, Luke Skywalker in his Dagobah training gear will be the first figure in that line. More figure announcement will come later this year.

Hasbro is known for its SDCC dioramas, and this year was no exception. Hasbro showed the step-by-step process of creating the first act of Return of the Jedi. From Jabba's Palace to his Sail Barge a fan could reenact the movie shot for shot.

The first of the two biggest reveals today was the companion piece to the Hyperreal Darth Vader figure. Since Vader accessories reflect the battle at Bespin, it makes sense the next one is Luke Skywalker in his Bespin fatigues. These figures are among the most detailed that Hasbro has ever put out. The announced that Luke will be available for pre-order starting Saturday and will ship sometime in 2020.

Thanks to Hasbro's line of role-playing helmets and masks, fans can become their favorite characters, whether it's at Comic-Con or in their living room. The most fan-requested helmet will soon be available for them to wear, as Boba Fett's Mandalorian helmet is the newest accessory. The mask is extremely detailed, down to the battle damage on its back. Its coolest feature is the light-up, working eye scanner so you can pretend you are reading Mandolorian while following Han and company to Cloud City.

Those announcements are exciting, and with The Rise of Skywalker arriving sooner than later, SDCC is just the beginning for Hasbro reveals in 2019.
