It may be time for the stars of the Netflix Marvel shows to officially start joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige recently stated that if the character of Daredevil was to appear in the MCU, then he would be played by Charlie Cox, who played him on the Daredevil Netflix series.

This announcement came after a long period of speculation from fans, most (if not all) of whom definitely want Charlie Cox to return in the role of Matt Murdock for the MCU. It’s not all about Cox, however; just as many fans want his nemesis, Wilson Fisk (played perfectly by Vincent D'Onofrio) to enter the MCU fray as well. Hawkeye on Disney+ seems to really be foreshadowing his entry, but that is not a sure thing yet.

This makes us wonder about who else from the world of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist may make the jump. Aside from Murdock and Fisk, a few characters stand out. Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick in both seasons of Iron Fist as well as The Defenders, is one of those standouts.

She ended her run on Iron Fist in a position of power, and she seemed primed to spin-off into a much-desired Daughters of the Dragon series. Naturally, she would have done so alongside Luke Cage star Simone Missick in the role of Misty Knight. Is that series possibly making a Disney+ comeback something that Henwick herself would be into? SYFY WIRE asked the question during a virtual junket for The Matrix Resurrections, in which Henwick plays a starring role.

Does she want to return as Colleen Wing? “I'm so torn,” she said. “On the one hand yes, because I loved her and I put so much work into her. And she is one of those characters I tried to protect so hard. I felt really passionate about her story.”

“So yes,” Henwick continued, “I would love to revisit her and get back into her head.” Things are a little more complicated than that though, and Henwick laid out why.

“On the other hand, we left her in a great place. She's paired up with Misty, she's got that going on, she's got her powers, she seems to be good at it,” she said. “She's living her best life. And I know if we bring her back, we have to bring her into conflict. I just want her to have her happy ending.”

Does the notion of a full-on Daughters of the Dragon series tempt her at all? We think that it would be great, but does Henwick agree?

“I loved working with Simone. Misty is a great character and she kills it,” Henwick said, adding, “And I think that the pairing is so interesting, and fresh, and unlike anything that's on TV now. So yeah, I'd love to see them back in some form or another.”

She may be of two minds on the subject, but she’s definitely heard the same rumors that everyone else has been hearing.

“Maybe they will cross over to the films,” she said. “I don't know. I've been hearing that rumor for so long, I don't really know what to believe anymore.”

Neither do we, but if there’s a chance that Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk can make the transition, then we’ll hold out hope for both Colleen Wing and Misty Knight.... played by Henwick and Missick. When it comes to these characters, it would be hard to accept any substitutes.
