Marvel stars react to Black Panther's historic SAG Awards win

As Black Panther continues its awards season with fewer Oscar nominations than some fans had hoped, it racked up one win that was especially meaningful for the people in front of the camera. At tonight’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, the film won the night’s highest honor — and social media was abuzz celebrating the cast.

As the Marvel standout won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture (in addition to Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble), Black Panther upended a few tough categories, becoming the first superhero film to win the most prestigious award, and allowed King T'Challa himself, Chadwick Boseman, to make a killer speech. So how did everyone respond to this entry making history for the MCU?

That’s a lot of hype, which could in fact impact the future awards chances of the groundbreaking superhero film. If nothing else, at least the internet was talking about it. According to a release from Twitter, Black Panther was the most tweeted film of the evening, and its Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture win was the event’s most tweeted moment.
