Sony Pictures is keeping the hype train a-rollin' for Spider-Man: No Way Home with the release of a teaser poster that finds Tom Holland's Peter Parker besieged by several classic baddies. The official Twitter account for the film encouraged fans to "go ahead" and "zoom in on those details," which we were only too happy to do.

In addition to Doctor Octopus' metal arms (attached to the great Alfred Molina, who appeared in the first trailer that dropped over the summer), you can also clearly see what appears to be Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin atop his glider in the top right-hand corner. Now, that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise since Goblin's Pumpkin Bomb rolled back into the Marvel Universe in the teaser footage.

What really stands out on the poster, though, is the forked lightning and swirling dust behind Peter that seem to cement the return of Jamie Foxx's Electro (from The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and possibly Thomas Haden Church's Sandman (from Spider-Man 3), respectively.

That would bring the total number of confirmed antagonists to four, meaning only two more are required to fill out the Sinister Six, a group of Marvel villains united by their shared hatred of Spider-Man. The mid-credits scene for Venom: Let There Be Carnage plopped Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and his alien Symbiote (also played by Hardy) into the MCU, but we don't know if the odd couple from San Francisco will factor into the events of No Way Home.

Anyway, that's all the compelling evidence we could glean from the poster thus far. Some fans, however, claim that they can see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the reflection of Dock Ock's arms or faces in the glowing cinders (Mephisto, is that you?!), but we're having trouble buying into those assertions at the moment.

Holland shared the poster on Instagram (the post currently has over 5 million likes) and wrote: "This movie is gonna blow your minds. Trust me!"

"We're definitely trying be ambitious," returning director Jon Watts told Empire for the magazine's December 2021 issue. The filmmaker half-jokingly referred to the movie as "Spider-Man: Endgame," which could prove pretty accurate, given how many crossovers we'll be getting once Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) accidentally rips the multiverse a new cloaca.

"Everything we do at Marvel is based on a small group of people sitting around a table going, 'Wouldn't it be cool if...?'" Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige also told Empire. "The multiverse was always a part of that because it's such a big part of the storytelling in the comics."

Written by Chris McKenna and Eric Sommers, the highly-anticipated trilogy capper also stars Zendaya (MJ), Jacob Batalon (Ned), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), and Benedict Wong (Wong).

Doctor Strange's fellow inhabitant of 177A Bleecker Street serves as the voice of reason, warning the Sorcerer Supreme not to meddle with the dangerous magic required to make the world forget that Peter Parker and Spider-Man are the same person. Little does Strange know — or does he? — that the very fabric of reality is hanging on by a thread after the events of WandaVision and Loki.
