TV THIS WEEK: 'Resident Alien,' 'Astrid & Lilly' and 'Snowpiercer' premiere; 'Peacemaker' and 'Boba Fett'

Wednesday night looks to be loaded with fresh SYFY shows, with Resident Alien and Astrid & Lilly all on tap this week.

Resident Alien Season 2

New week? That means new shows — or at least it does this week if you're a sci-fi (and SYFY) fan looking for all the new geeky stuff.

SYFY has two big premieres this week, with the return of hit series Resident Alien for its second season as Alan Tudyk returns as our favorite alien in disguise; plus the series premiere of Astrid & Lilly Save the World, a new show about two girls just trying to get through high school while also fending off monsters from another dimension. Digging a big deeper, TNT has the season premiere of returning sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer, while The CW has the season finale of mystery series Nancy Drew.

Disney+ has a new episode of its latest Star Wars live action series The Book of Boba Fett (which fans think could include the return of a fan favorite character if subtle musical cues are to be believed), and HBO Max has a killer new episode of Peacemaker. That is assuming we ever stop replaying the opening credits sequence, of course. The CW also has new episodes of Superman & Lois, Batwoman and DC's Legends of Tomorrow to round things out.

Check out the full rundown below.
