The CW has just announced early renewals to 10 of its prime-time shows for the 2019-2020 season, including its Arrowverse shows, Black Lightning, the Charmed reboot, and Riverdale.

The shows being ordered for the 2019-2020 broadcast year include second seasons of its freshman shows about young witches, Charmed and Legacies, as well as new seasons of Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Riverdale, and Supernatural.

The network also ordered a third season of its modernized Dynasty reboot. Freshman football drama All American was not included in the early renewal list.

“The early renewal of these signature CW series gives us a head start on laying out the 2019-2020 season,” said Mark Pedowitz, president, The CW, during the network’s session at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. “These shows provide a strong foundation for our multiplatform programming strategy, and we look forward to building on this with even more returning and new shows as we approach the May upfront.”

Considering the solid popularity of these shows, and with all of them continuing to draw strong ratings, it's not surprising that the network is doubling down on them. (Or would it be octopling-down in the case of Arrow?)

Citing data from the Nielsen Company, the website TV Series Finale shows that The Flash continues to be the network's most watched show, drawing an average of more than 1.8 million live/same day viewers for its fifth season season. Supernatural is the second-most-watched show on The CW, averaging nearly 1.5 million live/same day viewers.

Earlier this month, The CW announced premiere dates for a few of its other shows, including the fifth and final season of iZombie (Thursday, May 2, at 8 p.m. ET) and the sixth season of The 100 (Tuesday, April 30, at 9 p.m. ET).

Specific premiere dates for each series will be announced at a later time. But considering we're still getting new episodes for these shows, we can wait, can't we?
