With Season 2 of SYFY’s Krypton later this year, the first season is finally coming to Blu-ray in case you need a quick binge — and we have an exclusive, deleted scene.

The series, set 200 years before the birth of Superman, follows the house of El long before it spawned the Man of Steel. Supes’ grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) is trying to save his homeworld from corruption, along with the pending threat of the planet-eating Brainiac (Blake Ritson). He’s joined on his crusade by time-traveling human hero Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos), who travels back to save Seg and try to ensure Superman is eventually born.

Our exclusive clip focused on a scene from “House of El,” the second episode of the show’s first season. The scene features Seg and Nyssa-Vex (Wallis Day) as Seg makes his return to the upper class of Kryptonian society. After his own grandfather was disgraced, Seg spent the brunt of his life among the rankless, lower-class citizens of Kandor. But now he’s back on top, and blending in might not be as easy as he’d hoped.

Check out the clip below:

The entire first season of Krypton hits Blu-ray, DVD, and digital on March 5.

The second season of Krypton is set to premiere later this year on SYFY and will introduce the first live-action take on the fan-favorite DC antihero Lobo, played by Emmett Scanlan. No word yet on exactly how the rogue will fit in, though he’s almost guaranteed to shake things up. If Lobo wasn’t enough, though, Season 1 ended with a whole lot of cliffhangers the show will need to untangle (most notably — is Superman really erased from existence?).

Have some theories on Season 2? Thoughts on the scene above? Let us know in the comments below.
