Rose Leslie wouldn't speak to Kit Harrington for 3 days after he spoiled Thrones Season 7 finale

If you star in one of the biggest TV shows on the planet and you're significant other is a fan of said show, you shouldn't be surprised when you're spending a few nights on the couch in the den after you spoil a major plot point.

While appearing on the KISS FM radio station in the U.K., actor Kit Harrington revealed that his wife, Rose Leslie (also an actor), was none too happy when he spoiled a major plot development for for HBO's Game of Thrones, which returns for its eighth and final season this spring.

“I told my wife last year how it ended, and she wouldn’t talk to me for about three days,” Harrington said, according to Entertainment Weekly. “And she’d asked!”

Many fans assumed that he had spoiled the series finale for her, but this was proved to be untrue by Leslie herself, who clarified her husband's statements, revealing that it was actually a major spoiler for the penultimate seventh season.

“I genuinely don’t know the ending [of the show],” she said to EW. “He told me the ending of last season and I remember getting a bit uppity about that … He happened to tell me – and this is a spoiler for anybody who hasn’t seen the last season – he happened to tell me that one of the dragons fall into the ice lake, and then we see the dragon being dragged out of the water and the dragon breathes fire — or ice, I can’t quite remember which one it is, I think it’s fire — onto The Wall, and then, of course, that’s when all the [Army of the Dead] can then cross over. So he told me about the dragon and I got rather livid with him, because I said, ‘You weren’t supposed to tell me everything! And that’s a huge piece of information!’ And he’s like, ‘Well, you asked!’ And I was like, ‘I know.'”

Back in March, Leslie also revealed that she would send Harrington out of the house just to avoid spoilers for the eighth season. It seems that this technique did not work in the end because she gave into her curiosity, but who could blame her? If we were married to Kit Harrington, we'd probably be hounding him for tidbits about the finale, too.

“That was an exaggeration,” Leslie added in reference to Harington's claim that she didn't speak to him for three days afterward. “I love that he said three days. Look at him trying to get a soundbite. That’s hilarious!”

Harrington plays the "bastard" Jon Snow on the high fantasy series based on the novels by George R.R. Martin. Leslie also had a starring role on the series as Ygritte, a wilding from beyond The Wall who fell in love with Snow before being killed off at the end of Season 4. In real life, the two actors tied the knot over the summer.

“I can’t really answer whether I’m happy or not,” Harrington added, talking about his own feelings toward the finale. “I don’t think it’s about happy or sad, really. I’m satisfied with what they did, but I don’t know whether I’ll be really satisfied until I see it.”

Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres on HBO Sunday, April 14 and will comprise six episodes. No runtimes have been confirmed yet, but rumor has it that each episode will be at least an hour or more. After all, there's so much story to wrap up.

“It’s quite nice walking around, which will only happen for a few months before everyone’s seen it, knowing. I know and no one else does. I know how it wraps up. I think it’s gonna be groundbreaking," said the actor.
